Photos from Photo-shoot

Photos from Photo-shoot
These are the photos i have taken of my model, Lewis Holt, for my magazine cover, contents page, and 2 page spread. I have tried to use a range of shots in various places, with various poses being done by my model. I used a costume change so that the images weren't all similar and showed my model doing various things.

This shot is of Lewis Holt (my model) on stage at one of his concerts, its a mid-long shot, cutting off his legs but you can clearly see he's on his knees singing a powerful chorus. The stage lighting I think compliments the image as it's simple enough to not draw focus from Lewis however interesting enough to make it look believable that he's on stage.

This shot is of Lewis singing a powerful verse on stage, its a mid-long shot, it's slightly out of focus because he was moving when I took the picture, you can see his arms are blurred as he was singing a song and moving while the picture was taken however I believe this makes the image seem more authentic.

This is a mid shot of Lewis on stage. The background isn't very well captured, if I use this image in my magazine I will probably edit the background out as you can see the creases in the fabric which makes it look cheap and tacky.

This is a shot I think I will use on my front cover. In my plan I said I would use a standard mid shot of my model looking at the camera. However, once I took the shot I thought it looked too boring and I wanted something more interesting which Is why I gave him a microphone and took a picture of him doing something more quirky. It also makes my model look more fun and light-hearted which is the type of vibe I want him to give off because my magazine isn't going to be hard-core, serious heavy metal it'll be light hearted indie rock. I quite like the background also even though it's only a brick wall its simple. I will experiment with taking the background out the image and seeing what it will look like.

This is the standard mid shot I was planning to use on my magazine. Even though I believe it's a good shot and he looks good in the picture, there's nothing happening in the image, its quite boring. Because of this I chose the other image because I think it would advertise my front cover more than this one would.
